We are currently looking to hire an Assistant Manager at our Gaylord location. The assistant manager is an important position in ensuring the operations of the store runs smoothly, they are the quarterback of our team. Strong leadership skills and having the ability to encourage other store associates to complete tasks effectively and efficiently is essential in this role. Being a positive role model and mentor to our newer staff members is important in creating continuity in the service that we provide.

Responsibilities:
The assistant manager will need to be able to proficiently do every task in the store and be able to effectively show other team members how to complete various tasks. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

 Perform essential store opening tasks, such as counting register drawers, confirming enough change in the safe to make change for customers
 Provide a checklist of things that need to be done around the store for other store associates to follow, and work side by side with store associates on assigned tasks
 Confirm incoming drop ship product and receipt post in the system with accurate costs and retails
 Be the warm welcoming face for all customers coming into our business and ask every customer what they can be helped with today
 Understand the ACE S.A.L.E.S. process and effectively coach other store associates on this process
 Observe staff interaction with customers and provide coaching to improve customer experience
 Assist with guiding staff to help achieve company goals and directives
 Lead other associates with an empathetic heart, but a steel spine
 Learn the best brands that we sell in store and be an advocate of all our best brand products
 Handle customer complaints. Work to resolve problems with the customer and find a solution that leaves the customer with a positive experience, while protecting the best interests of the store
 Effectively correct action of other staff members in a way that is uplifting and encouraging
 Actively participate in store meetings and huddles
 Assist store manager in creating daily shift schedules
 Is comfortable with working with various technology to more efficiently serve the needs of our customers

 Has a proven track record for being a fast learner
 Has worked in a retail environment for over 3 years in a leadership role
 Must be comfortable learning about Stihl power equipment and how to make recommendations to customers. Running this department will be a key aspect to the position
