Assistant Kitchen Manager Job at XO Taco
XO Taco is looking to hire an Assistant Kitchen Manager to assist with ingredient preparation and cooking procedures.
Kitchen Assistant Responsibilities:
- Assisting the Kitchen Manager with the preparation of ingredients, which includes washing, cleaning, peeling, cutting, and chopping fruit, vegetables, poultry, and meat.
- Assisting with the unloading of delivered food supplies.
- Organizing and correctly storing food supplies.
- Promptly transferring meal ingredients from storage areas to the kitchen as per the Kitchen Managers' instructions.
- Properly cleaning and sanitizing all food preparation areas according to established standards of hygiene.
- Washing and appropriately storing all cooking appliances, instruments, utensils, cutting boards, and dishes.
- Coaching, motivating, and mentoring new hires to maintain brand standards and best practices for the kitchen.
Kitchen Assistant Requirements:
- Proven experience in kitchens.
- Knowledge of food health and safety regulations.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- The ability to work in and coach a team.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication skills.
