Community Healthlink’s Emergency Services Department is part of the Access Division, (“Centralized Front Door”) and represents CHL to those seeking services. The Assistant Director of Emergency Services is a member of the Emergency Services Management Team that provides supervisory and clinical oversight during the evening operational hours of the program. The Emergency Services Program (ESP) provides on-site or mobile assessment to any individual experiencing a mental health crisis, a substance-abuse crisis, or both. The ESP service is accessible 7 days per week, 24 hours per day, and is available to children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of settings within the Central and North Central areas of Worcester County.
- Assistant Director of Access Emergency Services reports to the Director of Access Emergency Services.
- Provide regular on-going clinical supervision to ES and CCS Clinicians as well as in-the-moment consultation to staff related to youth, adults and families experiencing a mental health and/or a substance use crisis.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external policies and operational/program specifications, including both the ESP program as well as the Community Crisis Stabilization (CCS) program.
- Assist with program operations including developing staffing patterns and schedules, submission of timecards, ordering supplies, interfacing with security, facilities and IT.
- Engage with internal and external treatment partners in a collaborative manner to facilitate effective continuum of care for clients served by the program.
- Identify problem areas and coordinate with Facilities team to address concerns in a timely manner.
- Provide crisis assessment, counseling and clinical intervention to individuals and families in crisis using solution-focused therapy, motivational interviewing, crisis counseling interventions.
- Collaborate with the Worcester Police Department's Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) to provide mental health and substance use disorder services as a diversion to jail.

- Develop, implement and oversee program specifications and ensure compliance with CHL, local, State and insurance policies and regulations.
- Develop and oversee Quality Improvement Projects including the collection and analysis of data to measure outcomes Work with an understanding of the Union Contract and guidelines.
- Interview, hire, orient and train new staff. Provide appraisals, and work with HR on disciplinary processes.
- Maintain budgetary goals through monitoring programmatic spending and review and correction of claims errors that impede insurance reimbursement for services.
- Lead and Co-Lead staff meetings.
- Participate in the Administrator On-Call assignment as scheduled.

- Master's degree in a human services field
- Must be Independently licensed as an LICSW, LMHC, PhD, or PsyD
- 3 years of related experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
