Job Title:

Formal Title: Mathnasium Assistant Center Director

Position Summary:

TheMathnasium Assistant Center Director is responsible for directly assisting theCenter Director with sales and administrative tasks required to run a centerefficiently, in addition to, providing educational support and leadership tothe instructional floor. Assistant Center Directors take ownership for thecenters effectiveness and are empowered to take appropriate action whennecessary. They assist with sales tasks such as making care-calls, following-upwith warm leads to schedule center visits, and having an enrollmentconversation with a walk-in customer when the Center Director is currently occupied.Assistant Center Directors assist with administrative tasks such as creatingbinders, reordering workout plans, and logging student progress. AssistantCenter Directors join the instructional floor and assists in the team-teachingenvironment providing instruction to students when there are no additionaladministrative or sales tasks to be completed. In addition to providingadministrative, sales, and instructional support, the Assistant Center Directoris involved with training, coaching, and developing the instructional staff toachieve top performance in their roles. The Mathnasium Assistant CenterDirector supports the Center Director in operating the day-to-day functions ofa center and are the second highest level of leadership in the center assumingresponsibility for the center needs when the Center Director is occupied.

Assistant CenterDirector Role & Characteristics:

· Assistant Center Principles, EducationalExperts, and Administrators:

o Support the Center Director in managing all aspectsof center operations ensuring it is running efficiently

o Assume responsibility of ensuring alladministrative duties such as creating binders for students, entering studentprogress into the center management system, and coordinating with the centerdirector to modify student learning plans/workout plans are properly completed.

o Position students and team members for success byproviding them with the educational material they need.

o Administer educational assessments to diagnoselearning gaps in order to create learning plans for students.

o Take accountability/ownership of decisions,actions, choices, and outcomes.

· Assistant Sales Managers and Customer ServiceSpecialists:

o Successfully enroll leads in-person or over thephone to the Mathnasium program by staying customer focused, utilizingMathnasium sales tools, overcoming obstacles to selling the program,alleviating most issues customer experience, and building a personalrelationship ensuring exceptional customer service and satisfaction.

o Positively interact and engage with parents,building rapport, establishing trust, answering any inquires, and taking thetime to get the know the person.

o Sell the Mathnasium program and have enrollmentconversations with parents.

o Ensuring parents and students have a positivecustomer experience.

· Instructional Leaders, Trainers, and Support:

o Take ownership of providing support to theinstructional floor and staff, ensuring students are achieving educationalsuccess, team members are providing exceptional instruction using Mathnasiummethodology, instructional leadership are managing the flow of studentsappropriately, and provide on-the-job training/coaching as needed to helpemployees achieve top performance, in addition to, joining the instructionalstaff in providing instruction to students.

o Build relationships with team members in orderto effectively motivate and lead them.

o Quickly identify employees needs and provideappropriate training, coaching, and feedback to enhance team members’performance in their role.

o Development team effectiveness, enchaining teamcommunication, improving team collaboration, and help foster a positive workingenvironment for all employees.

Assistant CenterDirector Tasks Performed:

Great Center Location:

· Monitor, update, and maintain exterior centerdécor to inform of any repairs/maintenance and ensure the center exterior isset up attracts leads by peaking interest.

· Monitor and update interior center décor toensure the center is engaging, free from distractions, and conducive of a greatlearning environment for students

· Take accountability of center cleanliness bycleaning and leading the instructional staff in cleaning tasks.

· Appropriately delegate center cleaningresponsibilities amongst staff to ensure the center is cleaned each night andis ready to receive students the following day.

Exceptional People:

· Inform new employees of the dress code andprovide them several Mathnasium polos.

· Coaching employees on how to successfullyutilize the Mathnasium method and Mathnasiums’ teaching constructs and learningtools, such as manipulatives, to facilitate learning for students

· Motivate and encourage employees to excel intheir role through positive reinforcement and by mastering the Mathnasiummethod.

· Coach and train staff on how to properly andpositively interact with parents and students

· Create, conduct, and evaluate staff meetings foremployees to facilitate learning of the***

· Increase center efficiency, operations, andinstructional quality by enhancing team cohesion, communication, andaccountability.

· Observe employees interaction with students andparents and intervene when appropriate to alleviate any conflict, improvecommunication, [developing employee job related competencies such as enhancinginstruction or optimizing sales techniques,] enhance instruction, and assistemployees in performing their duties optimally.

Lead Generation:

· Implement and promoting a referral program toencourage parents/customers to refer their family and friends to the center formath learning for students.

· Remind parents of the referral program duringthe enrollment conversation and during parent conferences, in addition too,look for opportunities to promote the referral program.

Lead Conversion:

· Be available and respond promptly to leads whoinquire about Mathnasiums’ services.

· Provide exceptional customer service to leadsthrough professional conduct, answering any and all questions, and directingthe lead to begin an enrollment conversation.

· Receive leads in person, from email, by phone,and from the microsite

· Utilize CRM software to maximize lead conversionby creating a organized system of tasks that details communication with leads.

· Master and utilize the M-A-T-H model to enhancelead conversion

· Offer the risk-free assessment and otherpromotions to encourage potential customers to come into the center.

· Sell the Mathnasium program to potentialcustomers

· Demonstrate the Mathnasium method to potentialclients during a center visit so that they understand how Mathansium works andsign up

· Utilize all available resources such as parentpacks, sample binders, and demonstrations to help convert leads.

· Follow up with leads in person, by email, and byphone to answer any inquires, overcoming objections, invite them to come intothe center for a visit, and sell them the Mathnasium program.

· Utilize all available software, such as constantcontact, to effective manage marketing campaigns.

· Convert leads into customers by enrolling themfor services

· Use all available resources to facilitate theenrollment process and make it as simple as possible for potential customers toenroll.

· Set up appropriate expectations with parents andstudents about anticipated progress and recommended guidelines for studentattendance, behavior, and engagement.

· Conduct initial student assessment to identifylearning gaps, demonstrate how the Mathnasium method can improve those skills,and create a learning plans for students.

· Ensure all students are positively welcomed,greeted, and introduced to all instructors.

· Re-enroll currently enrolled customers oncetheir enrollment expires.

· Consult on Mathnasiums’ diagnosis and prescribedlearning plan for the student

Right Materials:

· Properly choose assessments to assess learninggaps for students who are enrolling to the program

· Effectively administer and evaluate assessmentsto identify learning gaps, create learning plans, understand student thinking,and modify session plans

· Administer supplemental assessments as needed toidentify student learning capabilities, improvements, and areas for focus.

· Enter assessment information into software tocreate learning plans, create reports, and create a list of resources for thestudent to begin working on.

· Regularly check in on students takingassessments and adjust the assessment level if needed depending on the studentscurrent performance.

· Properly and accurately identify learning gapsin student’s foundation and prescribe the personalized learning plan designedto bridge the learning gap.

· Create binders with students learning plansincluding prescriptives, workbooks, and other required Mathnasium material.

· Manage all student binders, ensuring each binderis updated with prescriptive, workbook book, and other Mathnasium material forthe student to be able to progress through their learning plan

· Modify existing learning plans to ensurestudents receive and achieve maximum learning, engagement, and retention.

· Evaluate student performance based on acombination assessment results, mastery checks, workout plan progress, andinteraction to determine progress and steps to improve performance.

· Create binders for students that follow theprescribed learning plan and order of assignments for that student

· Update binders based on binder notes, studentprogress, parental requests and student interaction.

· Administer and evaluate post assessments forstudents to identify learning plan progress, evaluate skill retention, andareas that need to be improved.

· Utilize the assessment chart to demonstratestudent progress to parents and students.

Right Instruction:

· Manage the overall center environment, payingclose attention to detail and effectively manage the flow of students, parents,customers, and team members.

· Manage student engagement and ensureinstructional staff are frequently interacting with students to answer questionor provide assistance

· Assume accountability and manage all studentworkout plans and activities ensuring students are progressing through theirprescribed learning plan.

· Keep track, record, and manage all studentdocuments regarding learning plan progress, workout plan progress, level ofsatisfaction, engagement, attendance, and behavior

· Create, manage, and maintain the studentincentive program

· Ensure the center rewards cabinet is fullystocked

· Assume responsibility and ensure each studentproperly check-in and checked out of the center through the tablet.

· Assume responsibility for students experience atthe center and ensure student safety

· Coordinate with employees/team members to ensurestudent safety is a priority at all times.

· Delegate instructional leadership duties such asfloor control to appropriate positions and team members

Parent Relationships:

· Be the primary point of contact for parents withinquiries about their students’ progress, behavior, attitude, and otherquestions.

· Make parents feel welcomed on the phone,in-person, and through email to foster and maintain a positive relationshipwith customers and leads.

· Conference with parents regarding studentprogress, resolving any issues, ensuring parents are satisfied with the programand their students’ performance.

· Send out progress reports to keep parentsupdated on students’ progress.

· Solicit parents to provide the center feedbackthrough online review outlets such as Listen360, Yelp, Google My Business, andothers.

· Talk with parents, students, and instructors toidentify barriers to students’ learning and progress.

· Actively seek out to satisfy customer/parentsneeds and requests by providing exceptional customer service and re-aligningexpectations to increase customer satisfaction and retention.

· Send mass emails to parents (current, inactive,and leads) updating them about Mathnasium’s program, events, activities, andpromotion.

· Set and maintain expectations with parentsregarding expected student development.

· Make care calls to parents to inquire feedbackabout their experience, and update them of students’ progress and behavior.

· Make monthly calls to parents to update parentsabout student progress and behavior.

Management:

· Monitor and manage self-performance utilizingoverall center performance, customer service, lead conversion, staffperformance, student’s progress achievements, and profit as indicators forsuccess.

· Monitor and manage self-training to continuallyimprove center director capabilities.

· Attend additional center director andexperienced center director training when possible.

· Continuously evaluate employees to identifypotential and aptitude for greater responsibility and promotion.

· Properly delegate tasks as appropriate toqualified employees

· Authorize and empower employees with greaterresponsibility when appropriate.

· Prepare, maintain, or oversee the preparation,opening, maintenance, and closing of the center

· Enact operational policies and procedures andmake any necessary modifications, based on analysis of operations,demographics, and other research information.

· Utilize CRM software to maximize leadconversion, manage tasks, and optimize business performance.

· Watch for and recognize security risks

Inaddition to conducting all the tasks and maintaining all the competencies ofthe Assistant Center Director Position, Assistant Center Directors are requiredto have knowledge and be competent on all the tasks and competencies of theInstructor and Lead Instructor positions.
