Assistant Controller
Job Description
Position Summary:
Candidates will be responsible for general ledger and subsidiary ledgers with the assistance of the finance team; month close process; facilitating monthly financial meetings with key management personnel to discuss financial results; managing banking relationships for business purposes, including: investments, wires, transfers, administration of users on bank websites, and lines of credit renewals; and managing outside accounting relationships with respect to audits and preparation of tax returns, etc.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Assist the controller with Managing all accounting operations including: A/R, A/P, GL, fixed assets, cost accounting, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition. Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported.
· Assisting with the development of budgets and financial plans for the company based on research and data reports and review regularly to look for cost reduction opportunities
· Prepare and publish timely monthly and yearly financial statements and create monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts
· Assist with management of all business insurance policies
· Provide monthly, quarterly and year-end analyses
· Analyzing and reporting cost variances
· All other duties as required

Minimum Qualifications:
Education and Experience
· Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, economics, finance, or a related field
· Thorough knowledge and experience in accounting principles and procedures
· 5+ years of relevant experience preferred
· Manufacturing business environment
· General ledger functions and the month-end/year close process
· Forecasting and budgeting
· JD Edwards E1/Epicor ERP system
· Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
· Leadership, research, and analytic skills
· Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Work Environment:
Office / Manufacturing environment. Employee may be occasionally exposed to moving equipment, mechanical parts in motion, risk of shock and other hazards associated with a manufacturing environment such as overhead cranes, welding, machining, painting etc.
This is an office-based position that requires walking, sitting, standing, bending, driving, reading, seeing, hearing, speaking, concentrating, and communicating.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
