Area Sales Manager
Our client, a successful nationwide multi-location retailer, is currently recruiting for an Area Sales Manager in the Greater Austin area. We are looking for someone with extreme knowledge of managing multiple retail locations at once, who is a driver of results and has a successful track record of building retail teams that exceed expectations.
Our Area Sales Managers are team leaders that are charged with maintaining multiple store operations and seeing that their markets not only run smoothly but also meet or exceed budgets and sales goals. Area Sales Managers make a competitive salary, however, earn generous monthly bonuses based on sales results and profitability of their assigned area. Responsibilities:
  • Execute and succeed on sales initiatives provided monthly
  • Completes store operational requirements by scheduling and assigning team members, following up on work results
  • Maintains store staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training team members
  • Achieve sales objectives by preparing a monthly action plan, motivating team members, analyzing performance metrics, and initiating corrective actions
  • Secures merchandise by implementing security systems and measures
  • Protects team members and customers by providing a safe and clean store environment
  • Maintain the stability and reputation of the store by complying with legal requirements
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
  • Maintains operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 2 years Retail Management Experience (Multiple Locations Preferred)
  • Ability to work at multiple locations within the district
  • Recruiting and training
  • Results-driven and strategic planning
  • Communicates powerfully and prolifically
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to operate a personal computer, wireless equipment, and proficient in Microsoft Office Suites.
  • Ability to work at multiple locations within a district (territory may include several zip codes)
  • Willing to relocate if necessary
Preferred Qualities:
  • Bilingual: Spanish
  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • 2 year’s experience in the Telecommunications or similar retail Industry
  • 2 year’s experience in the Entertainment Industry
