MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participates in the selection of new employees- Maintains corporate and unit management control systems, cost, quality and schedules
- Interfaces with service group personnel on technical and production problems
- Trains, develops and evaluates employees
- Keeps management informed of key developments.
- Maintains scorecard performance to budget and coordinates assigning key tasks to support resources based on data in the scorecard to meet or exceed budget requirements
- Regular contact with others outside the work group
- Complies with the terms of local and national labor agreements
- Ensures adherence to recommended safety procedures and good housekeeping practices
- Implements the Nexteer Production System.
QUALIFICATIONS:
DEGREE: BACHELORS - PREFERRED
MAJOR: ENGINEERING OR BUSINESS
Must have 3-5 years of manufacturing experience- Knowledge of basic technology of area supervised
- Relatively high level of analytical ability where problems are complex
- Well-developed oral and written communication skills
- High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others, motivate employees and elicit work output
- Knowledge and experience in the principles and application of the Nexteer Production System
- Knowledge of quality control procedures, manufacturing processes, scheduling and other management systems.
- Ability to work alternate shifts/work schedules
