Job Description
PaleoWest is seeking Archaeological Field Technicians to assist our Fresno office staff in completing archaeological surveys, excavation, construction monitoring, and other fieldwork. The ideal candidate(s) should be available to work full-time on an as-needed basis. Local applicants will be given preference.
Job Locations
This position will be based out of our Fresno, California office location.
Qualifications
- B.A. or B.S. degree in archaeology, anthropology, or a closely related field is required
- 1+ years of fieldwork experience in California
- Ability to endure adverse environmental conditions, including hot and cold temperatures, precipitation, and challenging terrain for sustained durations
- Must demonstrate excellent attention to detail, a positive work ethic, reliability, responsiveness, and commitment to working both independently and in a team environment
- Valid driver’s license
Proof of COVID-19 vaccination or willingness to get vaccinated prior to date of hire is required for all employees, unless a valid religious or medical waiver is in place.
