John Zink Hamworthy Combustion a Koch Engineered Solutions Company is looking for a motivated and self-driven Applications Engineer for our team in Tulsa, OK. John Zink Hamworthy Combustion (JZHC) is a global leader in emissions-control and clean-air combustion systems. This position will provide sales support to the Flare Aftermarket Team; with a focus on equipment replacement, retrofit and upgrade projects. This support will require a candidate with excellent customer focus, verbal and written communication skills and advanced computer skills to interact with a variety of customers. This platform will also provide the candidate with the independence to apply creativity and innovation for value creation, growth, and personal development.

What You Will Do In Your Role

• Engage in discussions with domestic and global customer base to better understand their equipment needs
• Coordinate with multiple John Zink and Koch Engineered Solutions business offices to find creative solutions that best meet the customer’s needs
• Collaborate with a diverse team of engineers to develop the technical and commercial proposal that communicates the value of our proposed solution
• Respond to customer inquiries to refine the proposed solution to meet varying customer needs as they arise
• Work with the equipment execution team to ensure the equipment is built in compliance with customer specifications and expectations
• Must follow safety procedures as outlined by the business

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline, preferable Mechanical or Chemical engineering
• Experience in engineering, sales, system/process design or applications engineering or experience within an “engineered to order” manufacturing environment
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite

What Will Put You Ahead

• Combustion related experience for flare design or sales
• Experience in a direct customer sales role
• Experience in Sales Force
