About the Role
Job Summary
The Chief of Staff drives the orchestration and execution of initiatives on behalf of the GM, extending the efficiency of the organization by creating streamlined processes, communicating consistently, building trust and alignment across the organization, prioritizing areas of investment, and assisting key leaders in optimizing initiatives and teams.
This is a role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, has excellent communication and organization skills, strong executive presence, and understands how to juggle opposing priorities ranging from strategic to tactical.
Responsibilities
Act as trusted advisor to the GM on key initiatives, leadership alignment, and improvements to enable vision and strategy.
  • Proactively identify areas of improvement and barriers to success for the transformation and prepare mitigation strategies
  • Advise on confidential matters and maintain a high level of discretion and integrity
  • Provide ad hoc analyses, strategic discussions, special projects, and day-to-day operations
About the Role
Internal Communications and Coordination:
  • Organize and run key meetings within the organization including staff meetings, leadership offsites, town halls, people leader meetings, etc.
  • Own overall communications strategy and proactively review messaging effectiveness and add/deprecate communications processes and forums, as needed. Includes time-sensitive, change management in partnership with the GM.
  • Parachute into situations and teams to identify “quick win” tactical solutions and longer-term solutions to solve perceived or actual challenges.
  • Negotiate and see to closure important and time-sensitive follow-up actions coming out of senior leadership discussions.
  • Cultivate relationships within and outside of the organization to align business objectives and optimally work together.
Organizational Operations Management:
  • Primary point of contact and liaison for critical Corporate Functions including but not limited to People & Purpose (HR), Talent Acquisition (Recruiting), Finance, etc.
  • Own executive reporting on risks, issues, hiring, budget, and other key metrics.
  • Optimize and prioritize the GM's time and areas of focus.
  • Promote operational excellence by identifying opportunities to optimize our organizational systems and processes.
  • Lead employee professional development, and identify/implement key programs across the org in close partnership with People & Purpose and other learning enablement teams.
  • Develop and implement creative ways to increase employee engagement across the pillar, including employee recognition and awards.
  • Proactively prepare decks, data driven reports and materials to drive strategic decision-making and communication of strategy.
  • Lead key operational initiatives, annual planning process, working closely with key collaborators within and outside of the organization.

Basic Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of proven experience in business operations, strategy, consulting, or product management
  • Enterprise SaaS product experience partnering with product and technology teams.
Other Qualifications:
  • MBA preferred
  • BA, BS in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
  • Strong strategic mindset, with ability to help set direction and outline key outcomes.
  • Team-player attitude with ability to dig into the details as well as see the big picture.
  • Ability to operate autonomously with limited supervision or direction.
  • Ability to learn quickly within a fast-paced team, including highly technical topics.
  • Ability to handle interpersonal relationships judiciously, professionally, and empathetically.
  • Organized and detail-oriented with a love for creating order when there is ambiguity.
  • Intellectual curiosity paired with a high growth-mindset.
  • Strong influencing skills, with a reputation for getting things done effectively.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including Executive-level presence.
  • Superb people and leadership skills and ability to interact with peers, senior executives, cross-functional stakeholders, and external third parties.
