What You’ll Do

As a member of our team, you’ll work alongside smart congenial colleagues on projects that transform organizations, governments, and societies. You’ll collaborate on difficult but thought-provoking projects with team members from various backgrounds who have experience in a wide array of disciplines. You’ll learn to tackle complex organizational problems from diverse perspectives and, along the way, develop new skills and experiences to help advance your career--either at Agralytica or elsewhere.

Working in consulting can be demanding and unpredictable, though most of our work is performed at our offices in Alexandria, Virginia. Projects vary in length, size, and scope, depending on our clients’ needs. Because our clients conduct business all over the world, there may be opportunities to travel, both domestically and internationally.

Analysts typically join us directly from school with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in business (undergraduate), economics, engineering, science, law, or humanities or with a few years of experience. Initially, you’ll spend time working across a wide range of clients and projects from helping to devise the strategic plan for an agricultural industry association to developing a crop insurance program for U.S. farmers and ranchers. As your career progresses, you’ll begin to specialize in one or more areas. At each step, you’ll be guided by Agralytica senior staff who will tailor the learning experience to your individual needs—unlike other consulting firms, you’ll interact with Agralytica partners, who have decades of experience in strategic and management consulting, on a near-daily basis.
