Summary

IntegraCast Inc. is an dynamic aerospace and defense manufacturing company with established customers and orders to be filled. The Quality Engineer is responsible for continuous improvement of quality functions throughout the plant, and the hands-on management of all internal and customer audits. The strong candidate will be a deadline driven, self-starter looking to grow within an organization.

Experience with dimensional layout, Blue light, first articles, compliance, AS9100/ISO9001, PPAP, APQP,FMEA, FAI will help you succeed in this role!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Responsible for improving product quality by implementing positive changes to the company quality system.

· Respond to all internal and external customer quality related issues and CAR in a timely and effective manner.

· Create FAIR packages.

· Maintain companywide compliance to quality systems, ISO/AS9100 and NADCAP certifications.

· Implement quality processes that meet the company policy that each team member is responsible for creating customer satisfaction through continuous improvement.

· Train team members in the use of new and existing quality analysis tools and methods to facilitate awareness and involvement in process improvements. Facilitate team member process improvement suggestions through the use of problem solving methods.

· Coordinate the metrology program, including maintaining instrument calibration and inventory, recommending and implementing improvements to test and inspection software and hardware capabilities.

· Actively promote continuous improvement activities directed at reducing costs to meet or exceed customer requirements and established company goals.

· Identify, prepare plans for evaluation, and implement improvements in cooperation with various process owners that yield reductions in ship times and increases in efficiency, customer satisfaction and sales growth.

· Coordinate activities for the Non-Conformance Reporting System and Material Review Board. To include coordination with other functional groups to resolve issues related to customer orders, such as clarification of quality requirements, customer contracts, disposition of NCR’s at the MRB and disposition of RGA’s.

· Support customer quoting and order processing by reviewing quality document requirements for approval. Ensure maintenance of document control to ISO/AS9100 and NADCAP standards.

· Process internal system evaluation and supplier assessments. Perform as an auditor for internal systems evaluations.

· Assist with supplier management activities. To include new supplier qualification audits, review supplier assessment of records and provide technical quality support for improvement and problem solving with existing suppliers.

· Maintain and expand personal knowledge in the quality field by pursuing appropriate training.

· Coordinate, Schedule and monitor storage of all quality documentation internally and externally with outside vendors to meet or exceed established company quality policies, ISO/AS9100 and NADCAP certifications.

· Ensure that all quality processes are performed in an efficient, productive manner which conforms, with all OSHA requirements.

· Compliance to all company safety, environmental, quality, procedural and personnel policies.

· Encourage and promote a unified team atmosphere between all departments.

· Assist all other departments as requested.

· Conduct root cause analysis of failed parts including documenting results and compiling records

· Assist in other quality related investigations where necessary

· Generate quality metrics and reports as required support department objective

Qualifications

· BS or MS in Engineering, similar discipline, or equivalent (Work Knowledge)

· ISO9001/AS9100, APQP, FMEA,PPAP, FAI

· Reliability and product validation testing

· 2 years QE experience within aerospace.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating, and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
