SCAN’s CCP Program was established to strengthen behavioral health promotion, and substance use and misuse prevention, intervention, and treatment services for adolescents and adults living in Webb County. The CCP program focuses on mobilizing the community to implement evidence-based environmental strategies related to substance use and misuse prevention and behavioral health promotion in Starr County.

Community Coalition Partnership (CCP) Program (Starr County)
- Seeking highly motivated and responsible individual that wants to work in the field of substance use and misuse prevention and behavioral health promotion.
Founded in 1982 in Laredo, Texas, SCAN is a leading provider of social services in South Texas. SCAN’s CCP Program was established to strengthen behavioral health promotion, and substance use and misuse prevention, intervention, and treatment services for adolescents and adults living in Webb County. The CCP program focuses on mobilizing the community to implement evidence-based environmental strategies related to substance use and misuse prevention and behavioral health promotion in Starr County.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement projects that change physical environment, build community resilience, or improve systemic processes to enhance behavioral health and wellness.
- Develop and implement community-wide activities that reduce stress, address trauma, or promote behavioral health and wellness.
- Conduct ongoing outreach in the community to let youth, adults, agencies, and organizations know about the program and the services that it provides.
- Assist the Program Director in recruiting and retaining program participants and developing collaborative relationships in the community among key stakeholders.
- Assist the Program Director in obtaining new written community agreements with collaborating agencies/organizations.
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or GED is required. An associate’s or bachelor’s degree is a plus.
- Prior behavioral health and wellness promotion experience is preferred.
- Good bilingual (English and Spanish) skills are required.
- A valid TX driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation are required.
Work Schedule and Compensation:
- The regular work schedule is 8:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m. Monday
- Salary: $16.32/hr.
