About the job:

The Life Enrichment Coordinator , is responsible for the life enrichment programming for the participants enrolled in SCC Of PACE Colorado

$16.00-$19.72/ HR

Required Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.   • Degree in Therapeutic Recreation or similar field preferred, but not required
  • Must have medical clearance for communicable diseases and up-to-date immunizations before having direct participant contact.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and have means of transportation.
  • Must be able to clear Background Check and Drug Screen

Preferred Skills:

  • Must have one year’s experience working with the frail or elderly population. One year’s experience of providing therapeutic programming to frail or elderly populations preferred.

Essentials:

  • In coordination with the Therapeutic Recreation Coordinator, is responsible for the development, implementation, and facilitation of Life Enrichment and Therapeutic Recreation programing in the SCC PACE Day Center; assists with the development and implementation of recreational activities that meet the interests, needs and capabilities of participants.
  • Leads and/or assists in large groups, small groups, and individual therapy or activities (exercise, arts and crafts, games, life review, sensory, cognitive, spiritual, etc.) in the Day Center and as needed in the home
  • Responsible for the development of supportive social, therapeutic, spiritual, cognitive, and physical programming in the Day Center; enlists the help of IDT members to facilitate specialized programming; ensures programming is added to a calendar of activities for staff and participants
  • Provides direction and support for volunteer/staff/Center Aide involvement in day center during LE/TR programing and activities.
  • Encourages participant involvement in recreation opportunities and provides necessary support to participants, ensuring their life enrichment needs are met.
