Researches the potential benefits and risks of new development and acquisition opportunities consistent with growth and expansion goals set forth by the EVP Acquisitions. Demonstrates excellent research and analytical modeling skills to support valuation strategies and forecasting on viable projects identified by acquisition team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and analyze financial and operational models, forecasts, and project budgets.
- Create detailed market analytics assessing supply, demand, and other market dynamics.
- Report on ongoing project status, variance to plan/budget, and key performance metrics.
- Prepare investment memoranda and other executive level presentation materials.
- Review due diligence reports and other project documents to ensure consistency with underwriting.
- Participate in the acquisition process to select target investments strategies, markets, and opportunities.
- Prepare loan and equity packages.
- Collaborate on strategic planning and the development of investment initiatives.
- Develop cash flow forecast and analysis.
- Create pro-forma budgets, projections, and consolidated reporting/budgeting.
- Monitor and track key metrics, going-in assumptions, and project management reports for the investment committee.
- Assist in the preparation of the annual project business plans and cash flow management program.
- Communicate with senior management and team members regarding project risks and opportunities.
- Bachelors in accounting, finance, real estate, or related field.
- MBA with an emphasis on real estate finance preferred.
- Two (2) years applicable experience is preferred.
