SUMMARY
The Accounting Clerk contributes to a team effort by accomplishing accounting and timekeeping related tasks as needed, while maintaining accurate, well documented records of timekeeping related functions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
· Review invoices, vouchers, and other accounting documents assign financial coding to invoices, credits, credit card transactions, journal entries and enter into accounting system.
· Research information as requested by various Government entities, TFCS Corporate Accounting, Project Manager, employees, etc.
· Check statements and follow up on any problems with payments.
· Review of weekly timesheets in Deltek Timekeeping system
· Verify records of attendance, leave, and overtime in order to prepare for weekly timesheet entry.
· Resolve timekeeping discrepancies by collecting and analyzing timesheets in Deltek, reports, etc.
· Enter weekly timesheets, Davis-Bacon timesheets, correcting timesheets, and all other timekeeping related functions into the accounting database
· Maintain timekeeping operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
· Answer routing inquiries and provide information to employees about paychecks, expense checks, and other payroll related matters.
· Maintain employee confidence and protect timekeeping operations by keeping information confidential.
· Data entry of readings for electric, gas and watermeters
· Create invoices for utility reimbursable customers
· Analyze differences in percentage change from the previous month of utility billings
· Maintain utilities database and invoicing program with new meters, changes and changing rates
· Complete labor and material corrections for SO migrations
· Tracking of employee tool and boot allowances
· May be required to perform other tasks as requested by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must have data entry skills and experience using current computer software applications. Must be proficient in Excel
Must be able to qualify for security clearance within onemonth.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED required. Minimum of 2 years’ related experience.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Must have the ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, managers and staff members.
