HealthComp is hiring an Accountant who will play a critical role supporting internal day-to-day financial operations and performing accounting transaction reporting related to group health plans. We are looking for someone in the Fresno area, but the position operates in a remote capacity. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Month-end reporting (Aggregate Reports and NY/MASS)
• Monthly bank reconciliations for multiple bank accounts
• Weekly reporting and email communications to clients
• Serve as a backup for daily accounting functions, when needed
• Assist with special accounting projects as needed

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration or related field
• 3+ years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, and/or budgeting
• Computer proficiency with an advanced knowledge of Excel
• Familiarity with finance and accounting practices, and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), internal controls and financial reporting
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with strong customer orientation
• Good time management and organizational skills
