Position Overview
The Account Supervisor is responsible for account management and relationship development. This individual is focused on providing growth opportunities for Storyhorse and strategic leadership for existing accounts. Reporting to the Managing Director, this position ensures overarching client needs are being met, serves as an advocate for brands in the strategic development process, and proactively looks for opportunities to build the business with existing or new clients.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Account Development
  • Develop a deep understanding of Storyhorse’s broad capabilities and the skillsets of the
people that power them.
  • Build business and expand capabilities with both existing and new clients to drive
incremental revenue.
  • Participate in new business pitches, including creating proposal content and communicating
client asks to the internal team
  • Collaborate with the team to develop key sales materials and business presentations.
  • Develop, manage, and nurture new and existing business partnerships and accounts
to accomplish volume and profit goals.

Account Leadership/Strategy
  • Serve as the lead point of contact and trusted advisor for all clients while building and
nurturing trusted, long-lasting relationships
  • Develop strategies to grow existing accounts and ensure quality and cost-effective services
  • Manage client projects throughout the full lifecycle (pitch, planning, execution), while
identifying opportunities to improve or enhance them with additional agency expertise
as appropriate
  • Lead multiple projects or accounts under single or multiple clients
  • Gain a deep understanding of our client’s needs, and develop tactics that will deliver the
most appropriate products or services
  • When necessary, develop project briefs for internal, cross-functional teams or vendor partners
  • As Storyhorse grows, develop the client services team and oversee key accounts
  • Act as the liaison between Storyhorse and the client to help solve problems and achieve
business goals by building trust and providing strategic and realistic solutions
  • Approve and contribute to project timeline and deliverables
  • Prepare estimates or scopes of work with timelines and key milestones
  • Forecast client projects annually/quarterly/monthly for revenue and resource planning.
  • Communicate overarching client challenges, opportunities and successes to the
Managing Director
  • Be accountable for the financial management and growth of each client
  • Develop internal initiatives to add value to the agency beyond his/her assigned work
  • Partner with the internal team in delivering work that is on brief and meets
design mandatories/objectives
  • Actively participate in the creative process, contributing to brand strategy ideation sessions
and brainstorms, sharing insights and supporting deliverables
  • Keep a strong pulse on industry news and relevant category trends

Qualifications And Skills
  • 8+ years of experience in account management with a creative agency (brand strategy,
branding, communications, etc)
  • History working in branding, experiential marketing or innovation
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn
  • Advanced problem resolution and communication skills
  • Ability to anticipate internal team and client needs, serving as a valued partner
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated; able to work independently with an understanding of when to escalate issues
  • The ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Outstanding organizational and execution skills
  • Receptiveness to feedback and thoughtfulness in providing it to others
  • You thrive in a start-up culture and have a growth mindset, exceptional communication skills,
and an ability to deal with ambiguity.
