Account Supervisor Job description

Berk Communications is an award-winning public relations firm that features a roster of category-leading brands across a variety of consumer verticals, including sports and lifestyle, food and beverage, travel and tourism, and cannabis. We have an exciting opportunity for an Account Supervisor to join our growing food, beverage & tourism practice. We are seeking someone who has experience working with restaurant groups & properties with the proven ability to keep deliverables moving while generating media relations results. In this role, you will have the opportunity to top-tier brands and properties helping to drive media relations strategy and results that help move our clients’ business forward. You’ll play a critical role in supporting our teams by ensuring excellence in delivery, clear communication, and high-quality deliverables. This is an opportunity to hone your account management skills while staying attuned to the needs of clients in a dynamic and rapidly evolving industry.

Account Supervisor Primary Responsibilities

· Serve as a lead client contact with the ability to present updates in meetings

· Play a key role in planning and implementing account activities, including media relations, events, program implementation, reporting, etc.

· Flawless execution of proactive and reactive earned media relations work, including developing media lists, reporter briefing sheets, media audits, well-crafted pitches and strategic media recommendations

· Oversight of press materials including press releases, pitches, reports, client correspondence

· Proactively provide quality assurance for all clients deliverables (I.E. proofreading, fact-checking, research, reference, citations)

· Keep projects moving forward with a proven ability to manage deliverables and hit deadlines

· Become an expert on your client’s business and the competitors within their industry

Account Supervisor Education and Experience Requirements

· 5-7 years of experience in a public relations agency or similar position

· Proven track record of generation media relations results with a portfolio of sports and lifestyle related clips

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

· Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and manage priorities

· Proven ability to develop press materials

· Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, Marketing or related field preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
