The primary purpose of this position is to support students with disabilities in their educational, occupational, and personal growth. Review and interpret documentation resulting from accommodation requests. Accessibility coordination - liaison for students, faculty, and external providers. This position supports 15-20 students with disabilities as an intensive case manager to ultimately increase student retention and persistence. Typical hiring range for this position is $39,000 to $51,000 commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in counseling, education, social work, or related area.
  • Demonstrated successful experience working with people who need accommodations.
  • Experience assisting students in an educational setting.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience assisting students in a secondary or post-secondary educational setting.
  • Master’s degree in counseling, education, social work, or related area
