The Education Outreach Manger provides overall business support to the education directorate. The duties will include coordination of education programs’ intake and outreach efforts (including program presentations and newsletters) and database management. This person will serve as an SME for veterans’ education programs and prepare and present information to internal and external partners on behalf of the directorate and programs.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to monitor, interpret and analyze legislation; and develop policies and procedures Ability to follow, critically evaluate and improve the current process
- Advanced knowledge of software such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, and use of the Internet as an information tool
- Advanced oral and written business communications skills
- Collaborative and interpersonal skills to work effectively with colleges/universities, private career and vocational schools, and training facilities’ owners, administrators, and local/state government officials
- Ability to accurately independently move projects forward, complete reports and other responsibilities by established due dates while completing routine office tasks or managing interruptions
- Experience with the preparation, editing, and delivery of written reports
- Ability to present complex information to the public and conduct training workshops
Preferred Qualifications
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree with completion of appropriate accredited courses. A Master’s degree is highly preferred
EXPERIENCE: Experience providing detailed presentations to clients, stakeholders, and high-level and high-ranking employees. Experience in case management. Strong customer service background. Expert/Intermediate level experience with MS Office Suite. Knowledge of Veterans Education Programs is preferred. An equivalent combination of training and experience indicating possession of the prior knowledge, skills, and abilities may substitute for this training and
