Scientific Applications and Research Associates (SARA) Inc. is looking for an experienced Industrial Security Administrator to join its Artificial Perception and Threat Awareness (APTA) division, located in Cypress CA. As part of APTA, you will contribute to projects in the late R&D/pre-production/low-rate production phases of the product development lifecycle, some of which address drone navigation and safety, RF sensors on moving platforms, and hostile-fire warning. The selectee will have the chance to exercise his/her initiative, adaptability, drive, and of course, subject matter mastery in a fast-paced, highly-technical environment. The chosen candidate will work alongside talented program managers, engineers, software developers, physicists, and technicians on long-term programs supporting the DoD, DoE, and their contractors.

Job Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the day-to-day security administration
  • Follows the security policies, procedures and processes’ and will ensure 100% compliance within the scope of the National Industry Security Program (NISPOM).
  • Maintain facility security and personnel security documentation and files in accordance with the NISPOM, DCSA requirements and SARA, Inc. policies and procedures
  • Assist with maintaining appropriate facility security databases including, but not limited to, JPAS, e-QIP, SWFT, NISS and DISS
  • Coordinate security assessments, tests, and/or reviews to ensure proper protection and/or corrective measures are taken when necessary
  • Monitor clearance investigation status and initiate appropriate investigation and fingerprints checks for personnel (to include both initial, upgrades, and periodic re-investigations)
  • Review security paperwork for accuracy and completion and submission of investigation requests
  • The Security Administrator will be responsible for tracking all company issued and sponsored security and access badges
  • Assist the FSO with required security indoctrination briefings, debriefings, foreign travel briefings and annual security refresher briefings to members assigned to the CAGE Code
  • Perform visitor control functions to include processing of incoming and outgoing visit requests
  • Assist with COMSEC accounting and associated documentation
  • Excellent communication skills requiring a high degree of diplomacy and ability to deal with and influence persons at all levels of positions

Additional Duties

  • Act as POC for all Security clearance inquires for employees
  • POC for post office mail boxes to include checking each one every week
  • Responsible for directing and coordinating office services, building repairs and related activities, including maintenance calls for office equipment
  • Supervises the maintenance of the facility to include roof leaks, damaged or broken hardware, key replacements, lock changes, alarm system, etc.
  • Responsible for escorting visitors in the building who are conducting maintenance or services to the office
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications
  • Must be versed in industrial security disciplines to include personnel and physical security, document control, classified information systems, classification management, COMSEC and OPSEC.
  • Minimum a bachelor’s degree and be eligible for a security clearance.
  • Candidates with an existing security clearance preferred.
