22179 ENVIR SRVCS WORKER I Job at Van Wert Health
Functioning within Van Wert Health’s mission, values, objectives, policies and procedures, the Environmental Services Worker I works independently in assigned area performing routine cleaning functions for general cleaning/disinfecting (including but not limited to dusting, mopping, polishing, vacuuming, and spot cleaning of furniture, floors, walls, fixtures, carpeting, etc) in both patient and non-patient areas. Terminally cleans rooms after patient transfer or dismissal, replenish and empty linens and waste baskets. Additional responsibilities and projects may be assigned as needed. Duties will include the disposal of waste: general, biohazard, and hazardous waste. Responsible for providing and maintaining a safe, clean and sanitary environment.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
1. High school graduate or the equivalent
2. One year of EVS work experience preferred

2. Responds to call-in situations in a timely manner
3. Takes call as assigned
4. Works exceptionally well with other people
WORKING CONDITIONS
1. Work is inside with occasional outside tasks
2. Requires long periods of standing
3. Requires full range of body motion, including but not limited to standing, walking, sitting, hand and finger dexterity, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching with hands and arms, etc.
4. Some heavy lifting. This job requires that weight be lifted or force be exerted
